I, with a deeper instinct, choose a man who compels my strength, who makes enormous demands on me, who does not doubt my courage or my toughness, who does not believe me naïve or innocent, who has the courage to treat me like a woman. ~Anaïs Nin

In our lifestyle power is something we become intimately familiar with.  Power dynamics in non-BDSM relationships is often something that is either over looked or never communicated.   In our lifestyle it is of primary importance.

When power is abused, whether in our lifestyle or in the ‘vanilla’ world, it is a violation.  This violation is the reason for this workshop.

In march 2008 a series of workshops designed to address these issues were held in Ontario. This website is now the home to the information provided in the workshops for all to explore.  These workshops focused on how to remain strong in the face of uncomfortable situations and learn to react quickly and effectively to persons invading our personal and mental space without specific permission to do so.

Hopefully the information provided here will help you learn how to deflect and deescalate unwanted advances in and out of ‘the scene’. We will explore how to define and defend our personal boundaries, how to use verbal and nonverbal communication  and other tactics to ensure our personal safety.

I welcome you to read through this information and hope it helps you on your journey. Please send any and all comments to me at:
